After studying a degree in Education at the University of York, I trained to be a teacher at the University of Cambridge. For the last 5 years, I have taught in a diverse Inner-city school in London where I have had the joy of teaching Yr2, Yr3 and Yr4. During this time, I have been a Science Subject Lead and have led the Pupil Parliament. I believe in empowering the voice of children and through this role I have facilitated opportunities for children to make positive change in their local community.

I love being a teacher and I hope that my positive energy and passion for learning inspires the children in my class. I endeavour to help children flourish by developing a warm, exciting and happy classroom, where mistakes are truly valued and used to shape our learning. I strive to make each child in my class feel special and I aim to instil a love of learning through engaging children in creative and fun experiences.

My proudest achievement within my career has been nurturing children who have found structured learning difficult and supporting them in developing strategies to overcome their barriers to learning. It has been an absolute joy to see the progress these children have made in an academic year. I have supported children who started the year unable to enter a classroom or join in with whole-class learning to now, bounding through the door, happy, motivated and excited to learn..

ABOUT MISS REILLY

Outside of school, I love to travel and explore new places, cultures and cuisines. I love the outdoors so you can always find me travelling by foot or running to different locations, especially if the sun is out! I am happiest with my goggles and swimming hat on as I am an avid swimmer, especially in outdoor pools or the sea! I am very excited to explore Portugal’s best swimming spots and beaches..
