“Teaching isn’t just a profession; it’s a profound privilege, and I feel grateful every day to be part of shaping the future through education. For these reasons, each day gives me my proud moments as I witness both students and colleagues reach new heights in the shared journey of everything education has to offer.”

I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve as the head of Learning support at the British School of Lisbon; a role that challenges me, inspires me, and brings me immense fulfilment each and every day.

My journey into the world of inclusion and learning support began at the University of Leeds’, Bretton Hall Arts campus, where I pursued a degree in theatre and education and it was there that I discovered my true calling.

My background in theatre has equipped me with invaluable skills in communication, empathy, and creativity – all of which are essential in my role as a leader of learning support. Every day, I have the privilege of working with students who have unique learning styles, and it is my mission to ensure that each and every one of them receives the support and guidance they require to thrive.

What drives me in this role is my unwavering belief in the power of education to transform lives. I am deeply passionate about making education accessible to all, regardless of individual challenges or barriers. Whether it’s adapting teaching methods, providing additional resources, or advocating for inclusive policies, I am committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

As a teacher, what I love most is the opportunity to inspire and empower young minds every single day. There’s something truly magical about witnessing the moment when a concept clicks or a passion ignites in a student’s eyes. It’s a privilege to be a guiding force in their journey of learning and growth, and I cherish the relationships built and the impact made both inside and outside the classroom. Teaching isn’t just a profession; it’s a profound privilege, and I feel grateful every day to be part of shaping the future through education. For these reasons, each day gives me my proud moments as I witness both students and colleagues reach new heights in the shared journey of everything education has to offer.
