STAFF PROFILE - TEACHER

ISABELLE IVES

“I BELIEVE YOUNG MINDS NEED TO BE CURIOUS.”

After finishing school in Scotland, I began volunteering in Rwanda in local schools and communities, in particular helping with English language skills. I then returned to the UK to study Geography and History at the University of Glasgow, where I further discovered my passion for teaching. Following this, I studied primary education at the University of Manchester.

This led to me working at a school in Camden, London. Camden being such a diverse and artistic hub, inspired my teaching philosophy to become more adventurous and motivating. Since I believe young minds need to be curious, I strive to instil a sense of discovery in my pupils which extends beyond the classroom. After some time travelling, I moved to Munich, Germany, to work in a bilingual school, where I have developed various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.

ABOUT MS IVES

I grew up travelling and exploring different cultures and cuisines. As a food lover, I can often be found in the kitchen, or on the hunt for vegetarian treats! I also love team sports such as netball and rugby. In any additional spare time I have, I also enjoy expressing my creativity through my sewing machine.
