I completed my teacher training in London following a degree in Fine Art at Frobel College. A couple of years later I complimented this with a Masters in Art Education at UCL. I have also continued to enjoy painting and exhibiting my own work. I started my teaching career in London before moving to Oxfordshire and then Edinburgh where my wife and I have enjoyed bringing up our two daughters.
Teaching Art has enabled me to share my creative passion with young people and, they in turn have kept me up-to-date with the latest trends and tastes! My wish is that I can help them to unlock the joy of visual expression. I hope that through my lessons students can find their own voice and grow in confidence through the creative process.
What you love the most about being a teacher is the community schools provide for building meaningful relationships with young people and their families. I see this as a vital part of a positive learning environment.
