STAFF PROFILE - TEACHING ASSISTANT

JEAN SINNOTT

“I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT AND ABOUT ENSURING A HEATHY AND POSITIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR CHILDREN TO THRIVE IN.”

I am excited to implement the skills I have acquired over the course of my work experience and education to create a stimulating and enriching learning experience where our students reach their full potential.

After completing my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in Ireland, I moved to the Netherlands to complete my Master's degree in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. I use the strong theoretical knowledge of psychological theories and developmental issues I have acquired over the course of my education to inform my understanding of the children and families I work with and to promote their wellbeing and learning.

I have previously worked as an Applied Behaviour Analyst therapist and as a Special Educational Assistant in schools in the Netherlands and Ireland. I have thoroughly enjoyed these roles and have accumulated a wealth of experience and expertise by supporting children of varying ages and stages of development. I am very excited to begin my role as Teaching Assistant here at the British School of Lisbon.
