After reading Education Studies at the University of York, I briefly worked in Sports Consulting before starting my teacher training in London. I have been teaching in schools in central London for the past three years and I look forward to teaching in a new setting.

I love painting and drawing and have therefore enjoyed being Art lead at my current school. I have worked with other subject leads to create many cross-curricular art projects as well as organising whole school art exhibitions. I firmly believe that as educators, we should equip children not just with knowledge but with critical thinking skills and resilience in order to set them up for success in the wider world.

ABOUT MS MENDES DA COSTA

Outside of school I love exploring new areas; whether that be finding a small museum or art gallery or visiting a new restaurant. I love being near water, be it a lake or the ocean. I can’t wait to explore the Portuguese coastline and swim in lots of different spots!
