STAFF PROFILE - TEACHING ASSISTANT

Nimisha Mistry Caxaria

“I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT SUPPORTING CHILDREN TO ENABLE THEM TO FLOURISH AND GROW.”

I believe play to be a fundamental piece of a child’s development. It enables them to explore, develop, and stay curious about the world around them.

I knew from an early age that I wanted to work with children. I completed my Nursery Nurse training before graduating in Childhood Studies from Leeds-Beckett University. I have since built a career in childcare. I have worked both in England and Scotland and have had to adapt to multiple working environments and curricula; this has allowed me to acquire a broader skill set which I will be able to put to good use at The British School of Lisbon.

ABOUT MS MISTRY CAXARIA

I love to cook, something I’ve been able to share with children in the past. It is one of my absolute passions, particularly fusion cuisine, and I love experimenting with new flavours and aromas. It’s not something children often have the chance to experience and it’s wonderful to teach them about the provenance of their food and how they too can cook.
