STAFF PROFILE - TEACHER

Rebecca Perrin

“ENCOURAGING CHILDREN TO BE CURIOUS, NURTURING THEM TO BE COMPASSIONATE AND SUPPORTING THEM TO BECOME CONFIDENT LEADERS.”

Since graduating from The University of Brighton in 2013, I have worked in a number of schools across South London. My passion lies in Early Years education and I have been a Reception or Nursery teacher for the majority of my career. I also have experience of working within a leadership capacity and my most recent role was as Assistant Headteacher of Early Years and Key Stage 1.

After returning from an extended backpacking trip in April, I was inspired to take my career overseas and I am very excited to be joining the BSL team this year!

My love for outdoor learning is very strong; you will often find me outside in the mud kitchen in my welly boots, come rain or shine! I believe that outdoor learning presents children with opportunities to develop life-long skills including resilience, communication, coordination and problem solving. Providing engaging learning opportunities is key to my teaching practice and I ensure that every child’s interests, talents and needs are nurtured.

ABOUT MS PERRIN

I love to travel and I spend as much time as I can with my backpack on, exploring new cultures and cuisines. I am a big foodie and I enjoy eating out and hosting dinner parties for family and friends. On weekends you can usually find me outdoors, camping or at the beach. I also enjoy keeping fit and healthy; I am an avid runner and I love to spend time exploring new hiking trails.
