STAFF PROFILE - TEACHER

romina ashiq

“I feel privileged to be able to help nurture and watch the extraordinary development of young minds who will one day be our future.”

I am a teacher of English Language and Literature with over 12 years of teaching experience. My experience of teaching spans across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and I have been fortunate enough to teach nationally and internationally and build a wealth of varied teaching experience. I completed my PGCE in Secondary English with Special Education Needs at the University of Worcester and in 2021, I attained a Masters in International Education with Distinction from the University of Leicester.

I have always taken an active interest in teaching and learning and working with young people. I feel privileged to be able to help nurture and watch the extraordinary development of young minds who will one day be our future. In my role as an educator, I have learnt that it is not just about the knowledge you have in a specialist subject but also about having the ability to offer support and guidance to young people; I have therefore always taken an acute interest in not just the academic development but the overall well-being of my pupils.

ABOUT MISS ASHIQ

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, reading and going on long walks. I also love to write and hope to one day be brave and lucky enough to publish some of my work.
