STAFF PROFILE - TEACHER

Sonia Campos

“I AIM TO INSPIRE A LOVE OF LEARNING THROUGH A RANGE OF STIMULATING ACTIVITIES TO ENCOURAGE CONFIDENCE AND GROWTH”

After studying Drama at university, I trained as an EAL teacher in Paris where I taught English in primary schools. This inspired me to complete my primary teacher training in London. I worked in a primary school with children from a variety of backgrounds which complimented my ethos of providing equal opportunities and encouraging children to embrace their differences.

I moved to Portugal in 2019, teaching throughout Key Stage 2 and leading English. I aim to inspire a love of learning through a range of stimulating activities to encourage confidence and growth. I also allow opportunities for children to be autonomous learners so that they take charge of their own learning and apply these skills into their daily lives.

ABOUT MRS CAMPOS

Outside of school life, I like to explore the many beautiful places that Portugal offers. I love Portuguese culture. I grew up in a Portuguese household where I am very fortunate to speak the language and I use this to meet new people wherever I go. You can find me reading, dancing, at the beach, at the theatre laughing or crying.
