Christmas Greetings!
It was a wonderful end to the Autumn Term with seasonal festivities taking place throughout the school.
As always, the younger children were thrilled to see the return of our BSL ‘Elf on the Shelf’ and were eagerly looking for him when they arrived in school throughout December. He definitely got up to mischief when left alone in the school and the children enjoyed following his exploits along with suggesting what he might do next!
We were delighted to support Fundaçao Champagnat with our BSL ‘Boxes of Joy’. The generosity of our families will spread some Christmas happiness to children supported through this charity. Our youngest students enjoyed giving the gifts to Fundaçao Champagnat’s representative at the end of term and it was lovely to see them having so much fun around the Christmas tree.
A highlight to the end of term was our Year 1 & Year 2 performance of ‘Santa’s Sleigh’. Written and produced by our Year 1 teacher, the show gave all the children the opportunity to demonstrate their musical talents and public speaking skills. Being able to perform and shine in front of an audience is an important part of school life and it is always a pleasure to see the children perform with such confidence.
All the staff at BSL wish our families and friends a healthy and happy holiday season!
