“CLARA AND THE MAGIC CIRCLES”
As part of our Book Week celebrations, BSL will be welcoming Cavan Mahony, author of ‘Clara and The Magic Circles’. Cavan will be delivering virtual workshops to inspire our older students and sharing extracts of her book with our younger students.
Cavan wrote ‘Clara and the Magic Circles’ to support children in becoming the best versions of themselves, wishing to have been introduced to universal truths and a unified field of consciousness during her own school days. A timeless message of discovering the power of our innate potential is at the heart of her book, an extraordinary story of imagination and transformation for all ages.
Set in the West Country forests, Clara is drawn into their mystical refuge when her own world is turned upside down, chaperoned by her Irish wolfhounds. Clara encounters the enchanting Esmeralda in the forests’ thicket and, with her guidance, travels through the portals of the Magic Circles – entering spellbinding worlds inhabited by woodland messengers. Their wisdom leads Clara on a journey of self-discovery and transformation, which she holds within her as a newfound strength upon her return home.
‘Clara and the Magic Circles’ is the first book from Cavan, an American in the British countryside with a lifelong passion for storytelling. A Harvard Business School graduate, this passion formerly manifested in a 25-year international career as a brand-building entrepreneur and executive in luxury fashion and beauty, working with iconic houses including Lancôme, Chanel, and Missoni. Cavan’s most recent venture, as co-founder of UK-based media platform Coat Company Productions, builds on her penchant for narrative.
