MUSIC SHOWCASE

Music and joy filled the school during our recent Music Showcase. Our Music teacher, Ms Dutot, had prepared a diverse programme which included a swing performance on the recorders, a shadow song with singing in three parts and a well-choreographed rap and dance, amongst many others. The children excelled themselves, introducing their class piece and performing confidently to their ‘virtual’ audience.

The benefits of a music rich curriculum are immense. Music can positively impact a child's academic performance, support in the development of their social skills and provide an outlet for their creativity.  It is also a wonderful tool to promote confidence, both within lessons and during performances.
